How to find IMEI number of a phone
IMEI number is used to identify a mobile phone. IMEI stands for International Mobile Station Equipment Identity. This is a unique number that is assigned to every phone, even a satellite phone. You can use this number to track your phone & stop the thief to misuse it.
The IMEI number can be given to the network operator to block the phone from using it. This will let you know the location of the phone & you can avoid the misuse of your phone by the thief.
The basic motto to write this article is to tell you the methods to know your IMEI number. There are three methods by which you can find IMEI number of a mobile phone.

First method (For every phone)
Go to your phone Dialer & dial *#06#. The IMEI number will be displayed in your phone.
Second Method (For every Phone)
Open the Battery of your phone. You will see the IMEI number printed on the battery compartment of your phone.
Third method
This method is applicable for android phones only.
- Click on the menu & go the settings option.
- Scroll to the last option i.e. About Phone.
- Click on status option & the IMEI number will be shown in the list.
