UP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

It is advisable for the students that first they must check their eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarship. Qualification: –

Here are some of the key points regarding qualification eligibility criteria that an applicant should know before applying for a scholarship program.

• Pre Matric Class 9-10: –  To get a scholarship under this category, a student must be a student of either 9th or 10th class.

• Post-Matric Inter Class 11-12: – Students who have completed their 10th and now have enrolled in 11th class or have completed their 11th and have enrolled in 12th class. These students can apply for post-matric inter-class 11-12 scholarships.

• Post-Matric Other than Inter: – This scholarship scheme is for those students who have completed their 12th and now looking for higher education. Students can get the benefit of this scheme while studying in any of the colleges or universities other than blacklisted.

Income: –

People need to know that the UP scholarship scheme is only for those students who belong to economically backward classes. Here are the key points related to income criteria that every student must know.

• Students whose parents income is less than one lakh per annum are eligible to get a scholarship for Pre matric class 9-10.
• For post matric scholarship, the income eligibility criteria set by the government is two lakh per annum. Parents whose annual income is more than two lakh rupees are not eligible to avail scholarships for their children.
• For other courses and degree programs, two lakh rupees per annum or less than that is set as income criteria.

Candidates who wish to apply for UP scholarship 2019-20 can visit the official website of the scholarship scheme http://scholarship.up.nic.in.

Here are the steps to apply for the scholarship.

• First, Visit www.scholarship.up.nic.in. and then click on the “Student” tab and then click on “Registration”.
• If you have already registered then click on “Long in”.
• Now, choose among “Pre-matric”, “Postmatric Intermediate”, “Postmatric other than Intermediate” or “Postmatric another state”. Click on the relevant tab.
• Fill the registration form with relevant information and selection of the relevant category.
• Upload documents that are asked to be uploaded.
• After filling the registration form, review all the information carefully.
• Click on the “Submit” tab. Once you do that your application would be submitted.
• Now, if you want you can save or print the application form for future use.
