YouTube Channel can't be monetized before it gets 10,000 views – YouTube Partner Policy in 2018

I have written many other articles that are about creating & growing your YouTube Policy. But this article is not about any tips but this will provide you some update in the YouTube partner policy.

Youtube Partner Policy in 2018

YouTube has created a simple process to create a YouTube channel for the creators. After the channel is created you can upload you videos & monetize them. Through this simple process many people & brands were able to expose themselves in the world & got global presence.
A month ago there was a news came about YouTube Sponsors. Many big sponsors have left the YouTube promotion campaign. This happens because of some useless YouTube channels which are made by Indians. The theme of those channels are so useless that a single brand is not suitable to promote on it.
Due to these channel with their irrelevant content many sponsors has left the YouTube campaign. Due to this heavy loss happened to YouTube, some partner policies are updated to restrict these useless channels.

What is Youtube Partner Policy

The new policy says that if YouTube creator needs to monetize their videos, then first the channel must have at least 10,000 views in all the videos. Now the next part is more strict.
After your channel has collected successful 10,000 valid views, your channel will be checked manually by the YouTube. If they found any suspicious activity or content is found irrelevant, than monetization will not be provided. After this decision of YouTube, everyone is hoping that the useless YouTube channels will be restricted & good channels will get more exposure.

So if you are creator and working on YouTube with a valid concept then you don’t need to worry. But if your channel is a store of useless videos then you should start doing some original work or delete the channel.
The change in YouTube Partner policy will not effect on the genuine creators but a simple monetization will not be there before 10,000 views.

Official Statement

You should also read the original announcement of YouTube from the official blog that is.

“After a creator hits 10k lifetime views on their channel, we’ll review their activity against our policies,” YouTube’s blog post states. “If everything looks good, we’ll bring this channel into YPP and begin serving ads against their content. Together these new thresholds will help ensure revenue only flows to creators who are playing by the rules.”

And one thing which I want to tell is that there is no effect on old channels those are monetized. So if you haven’t monetized your channel yet then please do it soon.
So that was an update from the YouTube partner policy. If you are a youtuber & works on visual content then I must say please do not violate any policy of YouTube. If you will work properly then you will get outcomes may be late but sure. Thank You.
